We deliver integrated primary care and mental health services, providing care and support for children and young people (up to their 18th birthday) who require a secure setting due to either welfare or criminal justice needs.
We work closely with our partners to make sure the best possible care is achieved for the children and young people. These include the prison, education, social work, Youth Offending Service and the Looked After Children’s team.
What we do
We assess all children and young people placed in secure settings using a universal health screening tool. This ensures that all their physical, emotional and developmental health needs are identified and met. Following the assessment, appropriate care pathways are put in place so each child or young person receives the right support.
Who is it for
This service is for children and young people placed in secure settings, including prison, social work, and youth offending service.
