Board of Directors
The Trust Board is our governing body and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of our organisation. It is ultimately accountable for the effective delivery of services, welfare of staff and achieving local/national standards and performance targets.
The Trust’s Board of Directors consists of both Executive Directors, appointed to specific roles within the organisation, and Non-Executive Directors, who do not work for the Trust but bring a range of external expertise with them. They work closely with Executive Directors to ensure the Trust runs in an open and transparent way and provides high-quality services for local people who need to use them
The Board of Directors have a duty to ensure the Trust provides safe, caring effective and responsive healthcare. As part of this commitment the Board of Directors ensure that:
- the Trust’s vision, values and behaviours are at the cornerstone of the work that they perform
- they engage with staff, local communities, and partners
There are six Non-Executive Directors which includes the Chair of our Trust. Our Board also has five Executive Directors including the Chief Executive. In addition, the Board has a Director of Workforce, and an Associate Non-Executive Director. The membership of our Board of Directors is balanced, complete and appropriate. You can read more about both the Executive and Non-Executive members in their profiles, further down this page.
