Aldine House
We deliver integrated primary care and mental health services at Adel Beck (Leeds) and Aldine House (Sheffield) Secure Children’s Homes

We deliver integrated primary care and mental health services at Adel Beck (Leeds) and Aldine House (Sheffield) Secure Children’s Homes providing care and support for boys and girls aged 10 – 17 (up to their 18th birthday) who require a secure setting due to either welfare or criminal justice needs.
We assess all children and young people using a universal health screening tool to make sure that all health needs are identified and met whilst in Adel Beck or Aldine House. We have a mixed team of nurses (including paediatric, learning disability and adult nurses) healthcare assistants, paramedics and pharmacy technicians who work to provide integrated healthcare. We work closely with our partners South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, who deliver the mental healthcare provision, and Change Grow Live who deliver the substance misuse service.
Our integrated healthcare services aim to be equivalent to that provided in the community and includes Nursing, CAMHS, GP, Dental, Optician, Podiatry and Physiotherapy services. We also strive to make sure children and young people’s health needs are met and continue to be met when the children and young people return to a community setting or transfer to another secure environment. We also respond to any emergency events and provide immediate clinical support.
Examples of the care we provide includes:
- Full physical and mental health assessment
- Support for long term health conditions such as asthma and diabetes
