Thanks a Bunch Samantha Ross!

We are delighted to announce the winner of our September Thanks a Bunch award is Samantha Ross.

Sam was nominated by a staff member in recognition of the exceptional care, compassion and dedication she demonstrates in her role every day.

In the nomination, they said “Sam's willingness to stop what she was doing and respond so effectively demonstrates her unwavering commitment to patients and families. Her actions made a real difference to a mother in crisis and exemplify the values and behaviours that make Leeds Community Healthcare such a caring and supportive organisation.”

Sam was presented with flowers and a certificate by Ruth Burnett, Medical Director, who said “You have received this Thanks a Bunch from the Trust, which you were nominated for exceptional care, compassion and dedication. This is everything we want as a trust in terms of the values that we display and hope that everyone leads by example. Credit to the person who took the time to put the nomination in because it is someone taking the time to stop and think, I will find time to write this, which allows us to do this. Congratulations, well deserved!”

When Sam was presented with the flowers and certificate, she said “Thank you everyone. This is really lovely, I am overwhelmed. I didn’t do anything; I just did what we do! I thought this was going to be just a normal team photo, not this! Thank you everyone, I really appreciate it”

Thanks a Bunch, is all about recognising and celebrating colleagues who make a positive difference every day. It provides a simple way for staff to say thank you to one another by nominating individuals or teams who deserve recognition.
