Thanks a Bunch Andrea Gill!
May 12, 2026
We are delighted to announce the winner of the second month of our Thanks a Bunch awards scheme is Andrea Gill.

Andrea was nominated by Clinical Service Manager, Victoria Tate, in recognition of an extraordinary act of selflessness and professionalism that took place while Andrea was travelling into work.
In her nomination, Victoria explained that ‘Andrea came across a road traffic collision while returning to the office for handover. Realising the seriousness of the situation, Andrea stopped and assessed the driver of one of the vehicles, who had suffered a cardiac arrest and had no pulse. Andrea immediately began CPR, continuing to provide lifesaving support until other emergency services arrived at the scene.’
Afterwards, Andrea returned to the office and continued with her work as normal. She later contacted Victoria to inform her of what had happened, expressing concern that the gentleman might not survive. Victoria highlighted Andrea’s calm, compassionate, and selfless response in an extremely challenging situation.
Andrea was recently presented with flowers and a Thanks a Bunch certificate by Laura Smith, Director of People, who said ‘it is always a privilege to deliver one of these - on behalf of Victoria, your team and the organisation, thank you for being amazing, it is an honour to present you with these flowers and certificate.’
When Andrea was presented with the flowers she said ‘Thank you for this award. Nursing is a privilege and being able to help people during their time of need is truly an honour.’
Thanks a Bunch is all about recognising and celebrating colleagues who make a positive difference every day. It provides a simple way for staff to say thank you to one another by nominating individuals or teams who deserve recognition.
Congratulations to Andrea, and thank you for demonstrating such outstanding commitment, courage and compassion.
