Important changes to the specialist podiatry service

January 12, 2026

The podiatry service currently provide clinical sessions at 15 health centres or clinics throughout the city. Podiatry is a specialist service offering care to:

  • adults with foot wounds and foot infections
  • adults and children with foot or ankle pain affecting daily activities
  • adults and children requiring nail surgery

Specialist NHS podiatry services must ensure that eligible patients are able to access the right skilled practitioner, at the right time, within the resources we have available.

Our resources will focus on providing clinical sessions in the following clinics and health centres:

  • Armley
  • Chapeltown
  • East Leeds
  • Halton
  • Hunslet
  • Holt Park
  • Meanwood
  • Middleton
  • Morley
  • Pudsey
  • Rothwell
  • Seacroft
  • Yeadon

In addition we will provide specialist foot and ankle pain clinics from Woodhouse.

These sites will ensure we provide improved availability throughout the week and better access to specialist clinicians. All sites are accessible by public transport and have free parking. Most clinics are ground floor rooms and at Armley Moor Health Centre we have a tipper chair where we can support our wheelchair users.
