Dr Sara Munro
Interim Chief Executive Officer
Dr Sara Munro was appointed to the post of Interim CEO on 1 June 2025, she is also the CEO of Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, a role she has held for eight years.
Sara started her career in the NHS as a student nurse and agency nursing assistant. She is a registered mental health nurse, and her clinical time was spent in inpatient mental health settings. She has worked across a range of NHS providers in the Northwest of England and has also completed a PhD. Prior to her CEO roles, Sara has been the Director of Quality and Nursing/Deputy CEO in Cumbria.
Dr Sara Munro said of her appointment: “During this intense period of change, I feel honoured to have been asked to provide continuity and stability to Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust. This is only possible because of the strength of our relationships within the partnerships we have in Leeds.
“I look forward to working with LCH’s senior team and ensuring we all contribute fully to wider system review. This will give us a blueprint for the future so we can improve outcomes for our citizens and ensure our staff have a rewarding career that makes a difference.”
