Third Sector Strategy
Here you will find our strategy designed to consolidate and increase partnership working, and therefore improve health outcomes for the people of Leeds.

Our Third Sector Strategy 2024-27
This is the Third Sector Strategy for the organisation and has been co-produced with Forum Central, the umbrella organisation for the third sector in Leeds.
Our Strategy was refreshed at a time when partnership working across statutory health and care providers and the third sector is at the heart of policies and plans for creating a sustainable model for health and care provision. We aim to deliver outstanding care and improve health outcomes for the people we serve by developing productive and effective partnerships with the third sector that maximise and value their expertise.
Key Priorities of the Strategy
It is important to note that this is a strategy and not a detailed implementation plan; however our priorities are:
- Driving culture change in LCH where our people fully recognise the value of the third sector and proactively seek to optimise third sector partnerships and enable 2-way navigation and connections
- Strategic approach to developing third sector partnerships that enable left shift, develops inclusive accessible services and reduce health inequalities
- Champion and support third sector resilience
- Champion a ‘one health system’ where infrastructure is aligned to enable all statutory and third sector partners to successfully contribute
Delivery of the Strategy will be directed by a Steering Group with joint LCH and Third Sector representation who will develop the implementation plan.
