Stoma and continence awareness day

To mark the stoma and continence awareness day, we will be holding an event on Tuesday 8 September 2026 from 9:30am to 3pm at St Chad’s Church Parish Centre, Otley Road, Headingley, Leeds LS16 5JT.

Service users, carers, relatives and healthcare professionals are welcomed to join us.

It will include:

  • Information stations
  • Specialist nurse advice
  • Company exhibition
  • Networking
  • Complimentary tea and coffee
  • Free car parking and free admission to the event

Information stations

There will be a nurse available at each station to speak you, to answer your questions or give advice on:

  • bowel
  • bladder
  • stoma
  • catheters

Frequency asked questions

  1. Is this an appointment, no its an information advice session for patients, carers and family new to service or known to CUCS for a long time. Those known to us it’s a day for saying hello how are you.
  2. Veuve access: St Chads is accessible.
  3. Is there any transport, no we do not provide transport you need to find your own.
  4. You can use the Google map navigation to get to the location.
  5. Are we providing lunch, no but we are providing light refreshments coffee, tea, decaffeinated will be available and herbal tea along with juice and biscuits.
  6. Timing of speakers, this year we have no speakers we are going to run 4 information centres on bowel bladder stoma and catheters, we are opening doors at 9:30am and closing at 3pm
