Introducing the digital health support hubs

Helping you get connected to your health

Help with using digital health services

Using online health services can make some things easier. But we know that using phones, tablets, computers and apps is not easy for everyone.

If you need help, please tell us. We are here to support you.

We may ask if you need digital help, When you have an appointment with us, a member of staff may ask if you need help using digital services.

For example, we may ask if you:

  • can use a smartphone, tablet or computer
  • can get online
  • feel confident using the NHS App
  • can use online health services
  • need help learning digital skills.

It is OK to say that you need help.

We ask because we want to understand what support is right for you.

You will still be able to access our healthcare services if you cannot or do not want to use digital services.

Get in person help at a Digital Health Support Hub

Our Digital Health Support Hubs offer free, face-to-face help.

You do not need to book. You can just drop in.

You can get help with:

  • downloading and using the NHS App
  • using online health services
  • managing appointments online
  • ordering repeat prescriptions
  • finding trusted health information online
  • using your phone, tablet or laptop
  • getting online
  • building your digital skills and confidence.

You do not need to be good with technology. We will listen to what you need and go at your pace.

Our hubs are supported by Virgin Media O2 Business, Aire Logic and 100% Digital Leeds.

Where can I get help?

You can come to one of our Digital Health Support Hubs. They are free and you do not need to book.

What should I bring?

  • If you have one, bring the phone, tablet or laptop that you would like help with
  • You may also need information that helps you sign in to the service you want to use
  • Never tell anyone your password
  • If you do not have a device, you can still come and talk to us about the support you need.

Who can come?

Our Digital Health Support Hubs are for people who need help using digital health services.

You may only need help with one thing. Or you may want more support to build your skills and confidence.

There is no such thing as a silly question. We will listen to you and help you at your own pace.

What if I cannot use digital services?

Please tell a member of staff. Not everyone can or wants to use digital services.

Not being online should not stop you from getting the healthcare you need.

We can talk to you about your needs and help you find the right way to access your care.

Why are we doing this?

More health services can now be accessed online. We want everyone to have a fair chance to use these services.

This means helping people who may not:

  • have a phone, tablet or computer
  • have access to the internet or mobile data
  • know how to use digital services
  • feel confident using technology
  • be able to use digital services without help.

That is why we may ask you about your digital skills when you have an appointment with us. If you need support, we can help you find it.

Need help?

Tell a member of our staff or visit one of our Digital Health Support Hubs. You do not need to book for a hub. Just come along.
