Library services
How to contact the Library team
The Library team at LCH are based at White Rose Park, but you don’t need to physically visit the library to use any of our services. (If it’s books that you are after, we can post these out to you, either to a work base or home address.)
Library Offer
Our Leeds library website is the “front door” for all our resources.
We have a page specifically for trainees on the Leeds library website.
If you need any help, or have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via library.enquiries@nhs.net
Accessing electronic resources
Please do make sure that you have an NHS OpenAthens account, and that it is linked to LCH. This will help to ensure that you have access to the thousands of journal articles, and other electronic resources, that we have available for you.
You can register for an NHS OpenAthens account, or reset the password for an existing account.
If you already have an account from a previous job, please change the organisation to LCH. This will ensure that the links to journal articles work properly, and it will save you a lot of time and frustration!
If you need any help, or have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via library.enquiries@nhs.net.
Training
We have a programme of information skills training, covering health literacy awareness, searching skills (literature searching), critical appraisal, getting the best out of NHS OpenAthens, and searching the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub.
All our training is delivered via MS Teams, and can be booked via our training page.
We have put together a page of training videos to guide you through many of our resources, and can also offer 1 to 1 support when required.
If you need any help, or have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via library.enquiries@nhs.net.
